Dolly Parton Excited Over Her Win At The 59th Grammy Awards

Dolly Parton, last night at the Grammys, won Best Country Duo and Group Performance with her old time song, Jolene, done with Pentatonix.

The 71 year old Country Music star, and actress, expressed her excitement on her Instagram page. She wrote; “Oh my Lord, I’m so excited to have won the Grammy with Pentatonix, on my old song, Jolene. I am so happy and am so very proud of Pentatonix. The song is one of my favourites. Thanks to the Grammys, but most importantly, thanks to all the fans. I love you all.”

Dolly Parton, a remarkable and talented songwriter, author, and business woman, is one of the oldest Country Music artists still active, both in music and acting.

Popularly known for one her hit songs Coat of Many Colours, the beautiful songstress has written over 3,000 songs. Dolly Parton has had 46 Grammy Awards nominations and won 8, and has got a host of other numerous awards to her credit.

She is a philanthropist.
